Paris, France - October 11, 2023 - Dawex, the leader in Data Exchange solutions, today announced Dawex Data Exchange technology will power the Trusted European Media Data Space (TEMS) in order to build a powerful and resilient data-driven ecosystem in the Media sector. Dawex Data Exchange Platform solution will enable stakeholders to securely distribute and share data products, with trust, in compliance with data regulations including the European Data Governance Act and the future Data Act.

TEMS LogoSupported by the European Commission’s Digital Europe Program and a core element in the implementation of the European Data Strategy, TEMS is a consortium gathering 43 organizations, representing hundreds of stakeholders from 14 countries in the cultural & creative sectors, which aims to conceive and implement a common media data space across Europe favoring the economic development and future growth of local and regional media ecosystems. Concretely, TEMS will lead the way for the large-scale deployment of cutting-edge services, infrastructures, and platforms, help the digital transformation and improve the competitiveness of the European media industry.  TEMS will also address fighting misinformation, audience analysis, improving data flows in production chains, and supporting the adoption of AI and Virtual Reality technologies.

Dawex Data Exchange technology provides a trusted and secure environment enabling all media and culture organizations to exchange, distribute, source and commercialize data. Dawex Data Exchange solution delivers the technical, contractual, financial and regulatory compliance conditions for secure data sharing, bringing flexibility, traceability and control over the circulation of data.

“Leading the project that will shape the European Media Data Space is way more than just a strategic move. It’s a necessity now that data is the new currency. We want to script the future narrative of innovation in the digital age by generating sustainable data-driven businesses today.” Oscar Lazaro, CEO, Innovalia.

“[…] building these data spaces could make businesses feel much more confident that they could use data to develop their business and to develop their business models to rely much more on the digital economy.” Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission in an interview to Euronews.

“Dawex is very happy to be a member of the TEMS consortium, gathering leading organizations in the media & culture sector. The choice of Dawex Data Exchange technology by such an impactful data space is a new proof of our leadership.” says Laurent Lafaye, Dawex co-CEO. “The whole media sector, and beyond, will be able to benefit from a powerful media data ecosystem to boost creativity, generate new products & services and foster innovation.”
