Paris region: Dawex to participate in developing Smart Platform 2030

The business consortium to which Dawex belongs won a call-for-tender launched last year by the Ile-de-France (Paris) regional authorities to develop Smart Platform 2030, a platform that encompasses open data, private data exchange, and the creation of digital twins.

The development of a data platform for the Ile-de-France (Paris) regional authorities has attracted significant interest over the past year. After launching their call-for-tender and pursuing competitive discussions with three challengers (Engie, Capgemini, and Accenture), Ile-de-France (Paris) regional authorities announced their decision.

An alliance led by the Engie group’s subsidiaries Ineo and Siradel won the bid. They were joined by the Wavestone consulting firm as well as other startups and SMEs such as OpenDataSoft, Outscale, WIMI, LBMG, Utopies, and Dawex.

Engie and its partners won the bid for a preliminary €6 million contract intended to cover the first years of development on a project that is expected to reach into 2030.

The Ile-de-France (Paris) Region’s goal is to build a major platform based on three digital service “building blocks.”

The first is dedicated to Open Data, using the 700 data sets currently hosted on the site data.iledefrance.fr.

The second focus is on exchanging data that cannot be made public. For this topic, authorities wish to create new services by sharing that data appropriately with public and private stakeholders. In addition, the Region plans to launch calls-for-tender to attract companies in the private sector. In that context, Dawex will provide the technology component for exchanging private data.

The third part of the consortium’s project is to create 3D modeling of all the buildings in the Ile-de-France (Paris) region. The goal is to create a common standard digital twin to be used by local authorities (city planning) and construction companies (responses to calls-for-tender).

Dawex’s participation in Smart Platform 2030 is noteworthy recognition of the company’s expertise, as well as a new reference point in the development and circulation of private data within private and public organizations.
